Top Torikatsu

Top Torikatsu sent via courier.

Last week, Peanut Dela Cruz from looloo, contacted me and asked me if I wanted to try out this new product from Bounty Fresh. She says she has this friend (Yves Gonzalez) who works for an ad agency who wanted to send out Top Torikatsu packs to food bloggers. No requirements needed.

Haha, I gladly accepted. Basta food ba, sinong hindi tatanggi, right? :)

Chef Diego's Lord of the Wings

Le bestfriend pact:

If we're going to eat out, let's try somewhere we've never eaten before.

Then so be it.

Si Fyodo buyoy. "Lord of the Wings" daw o. *facepalm*

Chef Diego's Lord of the Wings is the first resto we've tried after the so-called pact. Hahaha.

As the name implies, this restaurant's specialty is...*tadaaaa* CHICKEN WINGS! They specialize in "crisp fried chicken wings with 6 awesome flavors to choose from - SOY KOREAN , FIERY SOY KOREAN, HONEY BBQ, SMOKEY BBQ, SPICY BUFFALO, HONEY FRENCH, CHIPOTLE LIME and GARLIC PARMESAN" (description grabbed from their Facebook page).

Tokyo Cafe

Photo not mine. Credits.
I have been visiting Tokyo Cafe for some time now even though the price range of their menu are on the higher end. Your value for money is definitely worth it because food here are delish!

Before the Lee Min Ho Concert at the MOA arena, my friend Camille and I decided to grab something to eat. We do need energy if we were going to scream all night, right? Hahaha. Since Camille's a bit indecisive, I went on ahead and recommended this place. I was craving for chowder soup that night and Tokyo Cafe is included in my restos-that-have-the-best-tasting-chowder-soup list. If you may, I'd recommend you to try it.

I usually order the Italian Hanburg plus extra rice. This night though, I decided to try something else. I was a wee bit broke that time and had to cut back on spending too much on food. HAHAHA.

The order came a weeeee bit too late, hence the face.

Barkada Dinner: BigCity

It has been a while since I've met with Waywanel, my college barkada. Being *ehem* grown-ups *ehem* they're too busy with work to spare time to see old friends. LOL, just kidding.

Last Tuesday (I think), a Nikko, my friend, posted in our group that we should have dinner. I told them I was only free that Thursday. Well, the schedule seemed fine, or else I wouldn't have this post. Lol. This dinner was also timely since it was Alex's (my other friend) birthday last July 4. Also, Nikko announced that he also would be leaving for Australia the next day.

Most of them were working in Makati so I just found it fitting to have out dinner around the area. I have been longing to visit the newly opened Glorietta wing so, with a lot of time in my hands, I searched for food joints located there. After searching at looloo and other sites, I saw this burger joint called BigCity, that had an average of a five-star rating. I suggested it to my friends and they gladly agreed.

When we arrived there, I was shocked to see that the place was small! (If you are to meet with a number of friends to sit down and talk in one table, I would not recommend it here). We were only six so the place was okay.

This is what you'll see upon entering the store. The aroma inside was overwhelming which made the hungry me hungrier. Haha.

Tong Yang with the Team

Last Monday, I got invited to join in on the Admin Department's dinner out. (Hoho, sira nanaman dyeta nito.) In the guise of a department meeting, we left the office at exactly five PM and headed to Megamall.

Much to my dismay (or not), the chosen restaurant was:

Tong Yang Restaurant
Located at the 4th Floor, Megamall Atrium

A Father's Day Lunch Out: Uncle Cheffy, Alimall

Four words to sum up the experience: "Good Food, Bad Service."
(All three text formatting options applied for emphasis.)

I already ate at Uncle Cheffy before. I loved the food there and was ecstatic to share the goodness with my family so I recommended that we eat there for my Kuya's celebration of Father's Day. (Don't ask me about my estranged dad.)

I won't go on and rant the details of our bad experience. Long story short, our orders came in like almost an hour after we ordered. Their reason? They had no rice that's why they couldn't serve our food. BS. I felt sooo bad for recommending the place. It felt like it was my fault. LOL. They compensated their "bad service" (couldn't think of a more appropriate term right now) with a 20% discount from our bill. I don't think it's right, but hey, the Manager insisted. I am never going back to that branch again, though. Nor should you. Hohoho. >:)

Anywhoo, I'm just going to dump some pictures I took while waiiiiiiiiting for our food.
Family Picture!

Yay too the person who's been both my father and mother. Labyu!
Ate Adelle
Baby Abbie. Grrr, y u look like a cute little puppy? Hahaha.
Oh, there's me again with Lala Loopsy. ;)

The following are the only things we ordered. Imagine them taking SOOO LOOONG to arrive. Gurrr. All were delish, btw.

Lala Loopsy with Uncle Cheffy's Cheesecake.
East Meets West Panizza
Lechon Budget Meal
Bagnet Budget Meal.
Again Happy Father's Day to Kuya, and all the dads out there!

Kux Eats: Purple Oven at St. Peter

Yay! New blog segment!

Remember y'all? I'm merging everything into this blog? Well, here's another segment to somewhat categorize my utterly random posts. HAHA. There's nothing really complex in "Kux Eats". WYSIWYG. Kux Eats shall be like looloo for this blog. The segment shall feature restos and other places that serve edible stuff.

So there, intro done. Moving on...

Purple Oven at St. Peter serves delectable pastries that are to die for!! (Double exclamation point for emphasis.)

For everyone's information, Purple Oven is the supplier of pastries in (I'm not sure, if it's all) Starbucks Coffee shops in the Philippines. :)

Not really going on about specific details of each product but trust me, they're all delicious!

Here are some photos of the shop at St. Peter:

Yup, I agree!

You might be able to see these same doughnuts in Starbucks Shops. :)
Brownies, Revel Bars, Lemon Squares!
AND! To make things easier for everyone, here's a scanned copy of their menu! Yes, I know... You're welcome! ;)
