Kux Stop: Roxas City

Roxas City in Panay is also known as the SEAFOOD CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES!

With that, the only thing that came to mind was: squid. squid. and squid. then, shrimp, shrimp and shrimp. HAHA.

Now who, in his right mind, would say no to a promo trip to this city??

Aru, our ever flight booker in the office, found a great deal for airfare to this city. My ticket only cost PhP1700+, round trip. O diba?? Anyway, we went there last Nov. 30 to Dec 2. :) If I may, I will just blog about the highlights of the trip, okay? (Katamaran 101)

Arrival at Roxas Airport. This is called the Airport Shot. LOL.

Accomodations: San Antonio Resort, Baybay, Roxas City

Our room's located at the second floor.

San Antonio Resort's Pool Side Area

Great place, bad service. They've got clean rooms, a beautiful pool side area. They also serve good food. And heck, the resort's got its own bowling alley! Too bad they invested a lot on prepping up the place that they forgot to train their staff. Everything in this place kasi had to be booked. Here, let me give you some:
  1. We had a free seafood buffet for 10 when we made our booking arrangements here at their smx booth last march. Of course, upon arrival, we were expecting to have a sumptuous meal but we didn't. the front desk said we had to inform them in advance for that. they insisted they sent us an e-mail but there was none.Understandable as they have to prepare for it. but, what happened to reminders
  2. Shuttle service to the airport also had to be booked. Say what? They offer free shuttle service but you have to go and book it lest you shall have no ride to the airport from the hotel.
Then there's this no water in the restroom issue.  Yes, we ran out of water in the restroom more than twice. Diba?

If you were to have a visit at Roxas City, I'd think twice before choosing this place. Or maybe by the time you actually do, they already have improved.

Lunch @ Baybay

Lunch along the beach. With lots of ihaw ihaw (mix of pork, fish and seafood)

Sta. Monica Church in Panay, Capiz

The facade and interior of the church of Panay, one of the historical landmarks of the Philippines.

The Sta. Monica church in Panay holds the "Largest Bell in Asia". Once rung to its fullest, the bell can be heard up to an 8km radius, says the tour guide.

Went to Sta. Monica museum/church in Panay, Capiz for historical and spiritual enlightenment.
Talon Adventure Park

We went to Talon Adventure Park for some outdoor recreation. They offer different kinds of outdoor activities such as ziplining, ATV-ing, mountain bike-ing, etc.

Beach! Opted not to go swimming because the water, well, stank. Malansa!
Gimik Nights

Party, party!
Woke up from a bad dream

Roxas City will be a place I will never forget because here is where I got drunk the most, ever. As in toilet-bowl-hugging wasted. As in I-let-my-friends-take-off-my-clothes-and-change-them wasted. HAHAHA. :)) If in Macau, I lost my heart, I guess in Roxas, I got it back. That night was the start of a new life from being too blinded by like. I guess I have to thank Antonov for that. Kyaaa. :))

Here are other Roxas City pictures I'd like to share with you:
