A facebook status message on the 29th of May.
That time, I was looking at an album my officemate posted on facebook. A summer outing album somewhere in the shores of Quezon. I was enjoying looking at their silly photos when it came to a point where they had underwater shots.
A sudden wave of feeling came crashing onto me (SABEEEH?). You see, I have been wanting to have an underwater camera since my 22nd birthday. I'm now 24 and I still haven't had the chance to fish it out from someone >:) or buy it for myself. HAHA.
I was about to buy one when our christmas bonus was given BUT! I bought a Samsung flat TV instead. I don't know. I thought a television was a much more worthy investment than a camera back then. And I guess I thought wrong.
For the first few weeks, each day after I purchased the TV, I was convincing myself that it was a better investment than an underwater camera. I shouldn't be doing this if I really wanted the television set, right? Ugh.
The frustration and regret.
Lesson, if you want something so badly, go right ahead and grab it and don't settle for anything less, or in my case, of something you think is a worthy replacement. (Unless, it's already taken -- wait, what were we talking about again?)
So, I had to learn that in a hard and COSTLY way.
So, here's the camera I have been eyeing for ever since the world began. Haha, kidding aside, yeah, I wanted an Olympus uTough. Any model that fits my budget (PhP20k) would do, actually.
According to the primary canvass I have made, this camera costs at around Php8,500.
But as I was doing this primary canvass, I also came across this camera:
A Nikon Coolpix AW100. It costs Php14k.
As I was asking around, an officemate suggested that I stick to using a Canon camera. All I found on the net about Canon's underwater cameras is this:
Err, not really my kind of camera. It looks funny. HAHAHA. Didn't even bother to see the specs.
So, I've been thinking, I want the Nikon Coolpix cam. I like it's looks and specs. All I have to do is get me some moolah before my Puerto Galera trip, and we're all set!
Haiiiiya!
