Prequel
A few hours before I slept, Camae and I were talking about asshole men and their asshole attitudes, in general. We successfully narrowed them down to two. Namely... (nah, just kidding). Anyway, in the middle of our conversation, i fell asleep. (Saree Kapateed. haha.)
The Dream
The dream started with me reading a book on the beach. No, wait, I was reading a book while IN the sea. I knew I just got into the sea because the book was still dry. I think it was in Caramoan. I knew I was with Waywanel but I had to go astray just so I could read the book.
I was reading from a chapter in a novel. I can't remember the title but I do remember looking at the book cover. It seemed as if it was the Hunger Games book cover, only the content was absolutely different.
As I continued reading, I wandered off the group without realizing it. I think I was still walking then... IN the water. The pages of the book were slowly getting soaked, but I didn't care. I still was reading.
After a moment, I came accross a group of guys who were taking pictures, IN the water. They were so playful taking their wacky shots and diving shots that one of them splashed water on me and my book. The book was now soaking wet. I did not mind them, I still had to read. (IRL, i would've been so pissed. but anyway, this is a dream) I noticed , out of the corner of my eye, MY asshole was there with the group. I think he was the diver that splashed water on me OR maybe he was the photographer. I don't know, can't really remember. Basta, he was there.
Odd thing was, I know we know each other but the me in my dream did not know him and vice versa. (gets?)
Fade to black. Swirl. White light.
Next thing I know was I was sitting beside someone. She was jotting down quotes from the book I was reading and she was showing them to me. Mind you, she had a nice penmanship. She wrote in big, neat, girly swirls. There were a lot of quotes, most of them sensible. Most of them describing my current state with Mr. Asshole. Here's the weird thing. I remember the last quote she showed me. As in the exact sentence (If you could call it that. I think it's a fragment).
"Hindering the predicament of a possible future."
And then, I woke up.
The day after
I got out of bed and took a shower. The sentence was constantly running through my mind. What did it mean? For starters, I did not know what predicament meant. "I'll have to look it up in the dictionary.", I say.
So by definition, what? Somebody is hindering me to a certain state I might be in the future? Err, makes no sense.
What's with the quotes, and the book, and all that water?
I am perplexed, I guess I need time to think.
OR this dream is not even worth interpreting.
Mind if you help me? What are your thoughts?
Is it a vision? HAHAHA I don't know Kookie, but it gave me goosebumps! You need an interpreter! :))
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a vision, yhani e. Dream lang talaga. Rawr. Ang weird lang kasi nag stick talaga yung sentence sa utak ko.
DeleteDreams are the opposite of really. So it might mean the other way around, like YOU yourself is hindering the predicament of a possible future. Ibig sabihin, move on daw. Or baka ako yan, kasi ang laki kong contrabida. =))
ReplyDeleteIkaw lang yun kasi kontrabida ka. :)) HAHAHAHA
