Where have I been? I've been to Macau to visit the... casinos. LOL.
I was there because the office gave us an incentive trip for the work we have done. Lalala. I have been waiting for this opportunity for the last 3 years, and now it has finally come. This was an all expense paid trip by the company.
Lucky me? Yes, I think I am.
The best thing about this trip was that I was with Mr. Shoes.
(A separate blog shall be posted... and it's all about him) Haha.
Anyway, going back to Macau. I'm really not in the mood for narratives. I think I'll just post the pictures and let them do the talking. Okay?
Day 1. Departure (PHL) and Arrival (MACAU)
Departed for Macau on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the DMIA, Clark. On board Air Asia. |
Arrived in Macau at around 9PM. Time zone's just the same with the Philippines. Chairs on photo are found in the hotel's lobby.
After checking in at the hotel, we decided to make use of our extra time to stroll around the city. In photo: We were in a park that features Macau's shore line with the Macau Tower in view. |
After a bit more walking, we reached the city proper, where City Proper = CASINOS! |
And.. did you know that prostitution is legal in Macau? Yes. Hence the flyers. |
More hotels/casinos on our way home. Also we saw a resto that serves fresh king crabs and lobsters! woooow! |
Day 2. A bit of Macau + Mong Kok, Hong Kong + THE CASINO
San Ma Lo. A square at the heart of the city that features the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral. Also, different shops are located here where you can waste your money's worth on a lot of different things.
Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral. |
After the ruins, we decided to depart for Hong Kong via ferry. Hotels in Macau offer FREE shuttle services to different points in the area. Taxi fare's sooooo dear in Macau. |
Side kwento. While buying tickets for my ferry ticket to Hong Kong, I paid 200 HKD. The fare's supposed to be 153HKD. After getting my change from the counter, I noticed that there were two blue paper bills. one was a 100 MOP bill and the other was a 20 HKD bill. My guess, the lady at the counter mistook the 100 MOP as another 20 HKD bill. Hihihi, I did not bother to return the money. HRHRHR. :P
After a day of strolling around the crowded streets of Hong Kong. Here we are, tired and dead hungry. |
We went back to Macau at around 9PM. Then, we decided to go out for another shot at the casinos. Haha. I won 200HKD. :P Puhunan: 60 HKD. Not baaaad. Went home happy. ^_^
Day 3. Macau Tower + Venetian Hotel & Casino
Before checking out. I had a photo op with the hotel's, err, name plate? Hahaha, |
A stroll at the Macau Tower island. We did not bother to go up the tower. There was a 110HKD entrance fee. |
And here's us. At the Venetian Hotel. Finally I got to see where they shot Gu Jun Pyo. Hahaha. |
In general, the Macau trip was tiresome (after all the walking) and famishing (we had nowhere to eat!) BUT it was a great experience. What I'll never forget is that I got to experience winning in a Casino. Haha. I think I'll go back to Macau... when I'm filthy rich.
