September: Nail Polish Haul

Hi guys! Just showing you my newest stash of nail polish.

Now that my nails are a stronger after the month long rest, I think it's time to wear them out again. Haha.

L.A. Colors
PhP90 each; SM Department Store
In basic hues: White, Black, and a top coat. Just re-stocking my stash. My Cutex black polish dried out on me. I forgot to seal the cap tightly kase. I only actually needed the black polish but ended up buying a white one and a top coat too. Ugh for impulsiveness. :-/

Random Mix:
      Pink hues from Nature Republic
      Metallic Silver from Jocarste
      "Kaleidoscope" Polish from Bobbie

Nature Republic - PhP55; NR Kiosk, The Landmark
Jocarste - PhP39; The Landmark
Bobbie Kaleidoscope Polish - PhP72; SM Department Store
Nature Republic
This is actually my FIRST time to deliberately buy pink hues. I do have pink nail polishes at home but they're all included in a nail polish set or package or something. Haha, I am not fond of the color pink BUT while browsing through nail art ideas from Instagram, I came accross this really cute nail art design of Piglet and decided to do it for myself. (Watch out for the tutorial that will also be posted here soon.) Then it hit me. The pink shades in my stash did not exactly fit piglet's hue.. hence the purchase.

Btw, I was able to purchase the polishes for PhP49.50 since Landmark was having a mall wide sale. That's 10% discount on selected items. :)

Jocarste
Another re-stock since the metallic silver I have is running low. I love using the metallic silver polish on my toe nails. They seem more elegant and seem to make the skin on my foot whiter. Haha. Try it out for yourself! :))

Bobbie
Random interesting nail polish caught my attention. The packaging says it changes hues when exposed to different temperatures. Looking forward to trying this one. :)

Aaaaand last but definitely not the least...

Seche Vite
Seche Vite - PhP375; SMX Trade Fair
I had to go extra lengths just to acquire this nail polish right here. Haha. Mom and I went to MOA just for the sole purpose of going to the International Beauty, Health, and Wellness fair because the exclusive distributor of Seche in the Philippines was having a booth there. Their store is in Divisoria. I'd rather MOA than Divi. :)) More on this on a separate blog post. ^_^

Eeeep! Can't wait to try them all! :P

The Monster's Make-up Essentials

I was rather debating on whether the title of this post shall be "Everyday Make-up Essentials" or "The Monster's Make-up Essentials". I decided to choose the latter because you see, I don't normally use make-up everyday.

For me, using make-up depends on my mood. Really.

I just use make-up when I feel like it OR when I feel like I want to be "pretty" in the office.  Haha. I also prep up when it is really necessary (like office events, or on special occasions). On RARE times, I use make-up when going to church OR going to the mall OR when I go out and meet with friends  (usually if I wake up waaaaay earlier than the scheduled time, hoho).

I do always keep a stash of MY make-up essentials in my bag in case those  moments when I do decide to put make-up on arrive. :)) Let me share them with you.

Nail Art Supplies: Foils, Beads and Blings

While doing some nail blog browsing, I came across this particular blog (can't remember anymore) that did a particular tutorial about the use of nail foils. My curiosity shot over the top and had this strong urge to buy me some nail foils. :))

Divisoria is the closest place I know that have stores dedicated to selling nail art supplies. Huhu, the place is really out of my way and going there is too much of a hassle.

For the nail noob, nail foils look something like this (no personal photo yet):

Product Review: BB Creams

Aside from eyeliners, I can attribute my rather "blooming face" when I started using BB Creams. And boy did I regret not using these beauty inventions waaay before! Haha.

The very first BB Cream that I have used is Ever Bilena's.

Ever Bilena BB Cream- "Oriental" shade; Watson's; PhP195

Kux Stop: Kawit, Cavite -- Island Cove + Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine

Island Cove is a small island resort located at Kawit, Cavite. It's a leisure park and a hotel. They also offer halls for corporate conventions and other events.
Pool area at Island Cove's Oceania Water Park.

It is relatively near Metro Manila if you take the Manila-Cavite Expressway or more commonly known as the CAVITEx. Our travel time from Quezon City to Island cove only took 30-40 minutes (minus the traffic).

Kux's Webmendation: SampleRoom.ph

http://www.sampleroom.ph
Ever walked into the beauty section of a mall where you see all sorts of products you want to try out first? Yes, of course you do. The only problem is, being the Filipino that we are, we are too shy to actually approach the sales lady and ask for some samples. Why? Because, again, being the Filipino that we are, we would not escape exchanging looks of hell from people around us while them muttering "Titingin tingin, hindi naman pala bibili."

UGH! Society, why are you so cruel. Of course titignan mo yung product, at most you want to try it out before actually buying it. Hindi mo alam, allergic ka pala or hindi siya compatible sa skin mo. DIBA??

Well, somehow, your problems of shame and annoyance can be solved through SampleRoom.ph. I first encountered SampleRoom.ph through Eva's blog.

SampleRoom.ph is a website that allows you to sample featured products before actually buying them. And the samples are for free! You only have to pay for the shipping fee, which, for my case, has always been PhP100.

First time registrants are given an initial of 100 points. These points are used when you are choosing which item you'd like to sample. Each product has its equivalent points that shall be deducted to your points once you have decided to take that particular sample.

Orders are sent through courier the next day once payment has been verified.

So? How do you get back those lost points? You just have to write a review about the products you have sampled! (Although the review is subject to approval of the ADMIN if it abides by the rules of reviewing.) You get back the points you have used to sample that particular product, PLUS a point for doing a review for that product. That easy, right?

Below are some of the items I tried out. Actually these products are already part of my second order here at sampleroom.ph. The first one, i forgot to blog about. HAHA.

Un-"boxing" the package.
Adore Charmed Body Spray

Mustela Hydra Bebe Baby Lotion
My reviews for these products? Well, you'll just have to go to sampleroom.ph to check them out. Though not now because they have not approved both my reviews yet. HAHA. :P

Make an account now! :P
