Barkada Dinner: BigCity

It has been a while since I've met with Waywanel, my college barkada. Being *ehem* grown-ups *ehem* they're too busy with work to spare time to see old friends. LOL, just kidding.

Last Tuesday (I think), a Nikko, my friend, posted in our group that we should have dinner. I told them I was only free that Thursday. Well, the schedule seemed fine, or else I wouldn't have this post. Lol. This dinner was also timely since it was Alex's (my other friend) birthday last July 4. Also, Nikko announced that he also would be leaving for Australia the next day.

Most of them were working in Makati so I just found it fitting to have out dinner around the area. I have been longing to visit the newly opened Glorietta wing so, with a lot of time in my hands, I searched for food joints located there. After searching at looloo and other sites, I saw this burger joint called BigCity, that had an average of a five-star rating. I suggested it to my friends and they gladly agreed.

When we arrived there, I was shocked to see that the place was small! (If you are to meet with a number of friends to sit down and talk in one table, I would not recommend it here). We were only six so the place was okay.

This is what you'll see upon entering the store. The aroma inside was overwhelming which made the hungry me hungrier. Haha.

Looloo Rendezvoos

Photo grabbed from blog.looloo.com
I found this new app last year for my phone that I thought might fit me perfectly. And, honestly, it did! Perfect for foodies and travel junkies like me.

looloo is an app that allows you to rate, review, and share a photo of a particular place you have been to be it a resto, or an airport, or a spa. You can also recommend whatever review you have done to your friends. What's even good about this app is that it is customized for Filipino users! Most places are Metro Manila based but you can ask their ever friendly support team to add places that are not yet in the database. :)

Though I think looloo is only available for apple products such as the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad. Not sure about the computers but i think they'd still work. Anywaaaay...

So, one day, I received an e-mail from a particular EJ Dela Vega. Take note that I registered with my company e-mail while creating an account. I thought it was SPAM but when I got to read it, it was actually an exclusive invitation to a mini meet-up of fellow looloo users. I was so ecstatic I was smiling the whole day! Haha. I RSVP-d that I would come.

December 12 was the date. Too bad I arrived late. Haha. Curse the traffic! Anway, we went to kuppa in BGC. (If you want to know what I thought about the place, then you'd just have to download looloo and follow me! hahaha) So, I met up with the looloo crew and fellow reviewers. We talked about food and places. Then we talk about comments and suggestions for the app. The experience was great! I hope there'd be a next time to it. :) Better is that the food was on them! Heehee. :P

Here's a photo of us that day (photo grabbed from blog.looloo.com):
 We also got freebies!

a shirt, a button pin, and a sticker

Thank you to the looloo crew for the wonderful food, experience and stuff! You guys are the best! :)
