Kux Stop: Enchanted Kingdom 2012

Strolling down a familiar road.

Back to being kids at heart, closest girlfrans and I decided to spend a day in, tadaaa, Enchanted Kingdom. Reason? Wala lang. 

There's just something about that place that makes you, well, happy. Come to think of it, the first time I went there was for my 8th birthday. I'm now 24, so... good job at keeping the business up, EK Management. HAHAHA.

Met up with my gals, Pao and Camae at Makati. Kat was to meet us there at the park since she would be coming from Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Though Camae already came from the house that morning, her being a person with NPA. HAHAHA. Peace.

So, we arrived at the park around 3PM. Right on time. There wasn't much of a queue for the ticket selling. So we entered the park easily.

Then the toll begins. Toll #1: Not just minutes after we enter the park, it rained. My shoes were soaking wet. (I had to buy slippers later that day.) We had to seek for shelter (whut?) and decided to watch this magic show from someone from las vegas and apparently from the youngest (forgot the term) in the Philippines. LOL, kid at heart person enjoyed the show. 50 pesos was worth it.

Met up with Kat and headed to our first ride for the day, Bump Cars!

Toll #2: Long lines. (Actually toll #2 shall be the ever consistent toll in all our rides that day.)

Yup, we only got to ride those due to lack of time. Lines were looooooong! And due to boredom, here's what we did: Photooo op to kill time!!!

Waywanel Christmas Party 2012

The annual christmas party of the barkada since we met. It has been what, seven (or eight) years running now? And I hope it'll keep on going until we have families of our own. HAHA.

This year, the party was held at Yakimix, Greenbelt 3. It was supposed to be at Vikings in Pasay City but then the place already had full reservations. Hmpf. I was expecting to have a mala-Vikings meal that night pa man din. Anyway. Let's make do with what we have. And yes, Yakimix was the choice. :)

Here we are. This year we had a +2 invite for Aldrine and Mario. Next year, may +1 na din ako.

As always, we had our annual exchange of gifts. I got Pao. Alex got me. I received my wishlist from Alex:

After dinner, we headed to Congo Grille(??) For some "drinks". There, we also held our Waywanel Raffle which only started last year. HAHA. The raffle prizes were just some things each member can chip in. Moolah, GCs, and whatever you want to give. I think that's what makes the raffle meaningful. Each item is given wholeheartedly. Naks! haha! This year, nikko was the one who gave the "grand" prize - 500 cash! (It was also his birthday din kase) Hahaha.

Habagat's First

Baby H is the very first waywanel baby and i'm one lucky person to be chosen as his godmother. :) Funny how an issue rose saying that I was only a proxy for someone else. To clear things up, talk to the person involved! haha. I asked Yhani and tadaaa, i'm the legit Ninang! :)

He celebrated his first birthday last December 8 at Max's Dasmarinas. Camae and I drove all the way to cavite just so we could attend this kid's birthday.



Dear Habagat,

Now that everything's clear about my Ninang issues (haha), I just want you to know that Ninang Kux will always be here for you and your parents whenever you need me even though we're miles apart. Hihi. Be sure to grow up as a charming boy. Never forget to be good and always obey your parents. They know what's best for you. Although sometimes you have to (i mean disobey them), you'll just have to call ninang for that. Hahaha, just kidding.

Make-up Artistry 101

So, aside from being a nail art fanatic (shameless blog plugging: www.themonsterclaws.wordpress.com), I am also a self-confessed make-up, err, addict?

My interest in make-up artistry piked when I had myself made up for our company's 15th anniversary celebration. Actually, it was the fake lashes that caught my attention. If I remember correctly, I blogged about it here. Below is a preview of my look:

First the eyelashes, then came the make-up. Of course, glam lashes had to be paired with glam make-up! Eversince I had my own make-up kit, I have been addicted to trying out different looks for myself. Then I once posted a status on facebook expressing my interest in taking make-up classes to, well, sort-of "formalize" my make-up knowledge.

Lo and behold, Tin, a close friend, found an ad in cashcashpinoy.com about an institution that offers make-up class for a buget price (PhP750 for an all-day make-up training). No more second thoughts about this! Vouchers for the class were bought right away! Hahaha. :)) There were three of us in our barkada who went to the class: Tin, Yhani and I. Tin also tagged Anj, her officemate, along. And the four of us shall see the word KIKAY in a different light. LOLS. :))

I arrived at the venue a bit early.  It was held at Stidio SnR located at Unit 301 Millennium Place, #17 Meralco Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City. 

I had to wait for Tin because my voucher was with her. While waiting, the receptionist allowed me to register. Soon after, she gave me a packed snack and a free make-up palette (see photo below). Not bad for a PhP750 worth class.

Anyway, the class started. I wasn't able to take progress photos since I was too busy fiddling and shaping my eyebrow. HAHA. I was too scared I might mess up and go for the eyebrow-less look. Anyway, let me just give you an overview (as far as i can remember) of some of the topics discussed in class:

• The importance of primers
• Eyebrow grooming and application(this took most of my time)
• Selecting the right colors for you
• How to apply eye make-up
• Blush
• Lipstick
• AAAAANNND the SMOKEY EYES LOOK! :D

Word of precaution: the class does not have lunch breaks! You will be dead hungry after the class. haha. So, when we were done, we passed by Brother's Burgers for some late lunch.

Of course, the food had to be inserted. Haha, pretty ladies eating in style. :))

Kux Stop: Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera is the northwesternmost municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. It is located at the southwestern end of the Isla Verde Passage, about 130 kilometers (81 mi) south of Manila. (Wikipedia)

So, enough of the formalities. Hahaha. I booked this trip last March pa. Trip lang naming mang bebis na lumabas na kami kami lang. Dapat kasi apat kami. Kaso lang labo labo nung isa naming kausap. haha, ayan, hanggang jan na lang. ;)

So we found this promo at Ensogo. A private beach resort in Puerto Galera named COCO BEACH was offering a 3D/2N accomodation for two. It was only P3025.00 with buffet breakfast plus a whole lot more discounts.

Type, click, BOOKED!

Maraming pinagdaanan ang trip na ito bago siya natuloy. First up, hindi pinayagan si Pao ng boss nya. Rebook. Secondly, hinabagat naman ang Pilipinas. Rebook. Thirdly, wrong date information. Rebook. Finally, nung Sept 15-17, natuloy din siya! HAHA. :)

Female bonding was the main objective of this trip. And hell, female bonding it was! :D Let the photos do the talking na lang ulit. :)

DAY 1: GETTING THERE and more

How to get there: From Manila, we rode a bus (Alps) that brings passengers directly to Batangas Port. From the port, you ride a boat to Muelle. From Muelle, you hire a small boat to bring you to the shores of Coco Beach.

When we arrived, each of us had this welcome drink and a welcome necklace (which I forgot to take a photo of) . Hehe.

So, here's their, err, banner? Haha. Then, here are some photos of our cottage. And the view from the balcony.

Ate dinner in the cottage. We had our food room serviced. Too tired to go down the 50++ steps to our cottage. Haha

We had time to cool down and relax from the travel. Before going down for some drinks, we slept. HAHA. Sakto nung time na dumating kami, may New Moon Party daw. (Parang twilight lang.)

Here's our languan photo. na hindi naman pala languan kasi wala namang nalasing like Baler Style. HAHAHA.

DAY 2: BEACH AND POOL DAY!!

Braskfast BUFFET! Came down to EAT. Went back up to the cottage for an outfit change.

Went back down and hit the swimming pool first!

What happens after a swim? You get hungry! Here's our lunch. 

Then.. we hit the BEACH. Took a few minutes of shut-eye + sun bathing by the shore.

After Beach-ing (wink wink) we took a stroll around (meaning numerous steps up and down the stairs) the resort. We saw the other pool waaaay up the mountain. We also saw other types of cottages available in the resort.

After the long tiring pagliliwaliw, we went back to the cottage to prep ourselves for the happy hour at the bar, and our massage.
